But yes, yes, it IS strangely tall.
This is how they disguise communication towers in Kuwait. No! It isn’t really a palm tree, but I knew you would love the whimsey and creativity of it all.

*dying laughing!* Really? You guys were fooled? ? Like it’s really really tall, really tall. And there are no nubbys or anything on the “trunk”. . .
Once you know what they look like, you will see them. The first one I saw was in or near the Kempinski resort. One clue is their height!
Hilarious! That would be one HECK of a palm – sure glad the ones in my backyard won’t grow that tall – the neighbors would scream bloody murder. (Hmmm….) Thanks, sis, I love it…

This palm is between Soor Street and downtown Kuwait. I think I was at a stoplight when I shot the photo. Near the Ministries buildings.
To me, this qualifies as public art – I love it that they are so beautifully disguised. Someone in Public Works has a quirky sense of humor – MABRUK!

tee hee hee – I saw the Christian bible camp (or whatever it is) one on I-5 last week. There’s a good one in Iowa, too – part of Living History Farms, and disguised as a big barn tower or something similar.
