Stat Spike
Blogging keeps me humble. I can write my heart out, and maybe not even get a single comment. I can write a two sentence entry on live Olympic coverage on July 31st, and get no response, and then ten days days later it is driving my stats to new heights – two record days in a row, all because people are looking for live Olympic coverage. No comments, or few. Total hoot.

Hit count is a funny thing. I get just a few regular…and then I’ll use the word sex or spiderman and suddenly I’ll get insane stat spikes. It’s nuts.
Apparently using a number in your post gets those stats high. But I look at the top blogs on wordpress and think- what in hell is making people get like 2000 hits a day??? What are they doing??? Offering payoffs? lol.
I guess hit count give u the excitement to post more

Amu, it would if it were at all predictable, but it is the craziest things that get the hits. My very favorite one is about female warriors – actually it was a question and then I got lots of totally fascinating answers and it continues to get a high number of hits month after month.
Just like when we used the title “Free Food” in college, when we wanted to post about something to sell or so

i only have 11 readers, so i may not exactly understand the hype of a ‘hit’. that aside, im sure u have many, MANY readers. ur blog provokes thought and is quite entertaining with all the pictures u post upf.
