Ready to Fly Away
The baby pigeons are up, walking around and fluttering their wings – until I open the window to take a photo, and then they go into the if-we-hide-our-faces-she-can’t-see-us-mode. Daddy pigeon makes noises deep in his throat which I understand to mean “Go away.”
This may be the last photo. They seem to me to be getting ready to fly, and once that happens, we will clean out the area and hope they don’t come back. I love the sound of their voices, but I totally hate pigeon poop.

wow they’ve grown pretty fast
that was fast !
They have grown fast! We are watching them spread their wings; we know any day now they will fly.
As soon as they fly, you should get the area cleaned up and cleared (if you don’t want them near you). The hen will lay two more eggs within a couple of days!
Oh! By Yousef! Thank you for telling us! We were just planning ways of getting rid of them, cleaning out the mess, etc. We didn’t know what a short time frame we were dealing with.
