WordPress Snap Feature

Yesterday I noticed a cool new thing on my blogsite; when your arrow goes over the blogroll on the right, Snap provides a small window-preview of the blogroll entry. Very very cool!

I don’t know if you have to be on WordPress for it to work? Would someone out there not on WordPress try the Snap preview feature and let me know if it works for non WordPress users?

  3. Fonz – you have it! Let your arrow rest over one of your Blogroll entries, and it will show a preview of that that site looks like. WordPress put it on all the WordPress blogs. You can disable it on your profile page, if you choose.

  5. It only works on wordpress for me – I just tried on a few blogspot blogs and … pfft – nothing. I was utterly mystified when it first appeared yesterday!

  6. aha! I just found wordpress’s notice about snap:

    http://wordpress.com/blog/2006/12/29/snap-to-it/

    “Snap to it!

On a limited number of blogs, about 10% we’re testing out a plugin that allows you to have Snap Preview Anywhere (SPA for short) enabled on your blog. SPA is a little widget that shows people a preview of the page on the other end of a link when they hover over it for a few seconds.”

(There is a more recent wordpress post announcing that the response was so overwhelming that it is now available to all.)

  7. Thank you, Little Diamond! I love the new feature – I am finding it on other web pages, too, and I find it intrigues me to go places I might skip over otherwise.
