Mobissimo

Have you heard about Mobissimo? It is one of the best sites for comparing airfares from one place to another. I owe this to a good friend, now working in Afghanistan. He makes his reservations through Mobissimo and shared the information with me.

You can include multiple destinations, something many of the travel sites don’t handle well, and you can see where you would be connecting and how long that connection will be.

I don’t always book through Mobissimo, but it is usually my first stop to get a glimpse of price comparisons and connections.

  1. I use Mobissimo in precisely the same way!

One caution, though: it lists prices from all the sites it trawls, without filtering for geographic location.

For example, my last BEY-USA search turned up great prices on opodo.co.uk, which doesn’t ship tickets outside the UK. If your itinerary calls for a paper ticket, you could wind up buying a ticket you cannot receive.

Similarly, if you click through to an American site (onetravel, for example) and you do not have a US-based credit card, you may not be able to pay for the ticket you would like to buy.

These are small (and easily navigable) issues, though :-).

  3. Little Diamond – good information, thank you! You are the EXPERT at making reservations!

NQ – what others? Travelocity (bulky and too weighted toward sponsors)? Expedia? (ditto) If there are others, share!
