Fast Food To Feel Good About

I’m still adjusting to the local time, and there are odd times when I am suddenly starving. Delighted to be in Seattle, I know where all the Ivar’s restaurants are. Some are go-in-and-sit-at-a-table kind of Ivar’s, with waiters and fabulous entrees, and then there are the fast-food Ivars, where you can get fish and chips, salmon and chips, halibut and chips, clam chowder, crab cocktail, and my favorites – smoked salmon chowder, and grilled salmon Ceasar. Oh, yummmmmmmmy!

Most of all, it delights my heart to see so many people eating fast food that might even be good for you.

  3. Is Ivars like denny’s and eat’n’park? I truly and honestly love those restaurants! Caesar salad a la carte! šŸ˜€

  4. Ummmm–hungry! I wish we had one here–closest that I know of is in Tacoma. We can get the clam chowder in the fish section of some of the grocery stores tho.

  5. N. – I don’t know what an eat n’ park is! Ivar’s fast food places are like a local chair, maybe like Long John Silver only with fresh Pacific Northwest favorites like clam chowder, fish n’ chips, clams, salmon, etc. It’s fast, but relatively healthy. I LOVE Ivar’s! šŸ™‚ They also have some lovely sit-down restaurants, with upscale foods and drinks. Still casual, but not take-out.

Momcat – It’s time they put an outlet in near you!
