Significant Birthday

We stopped by a Party Store to pick up some things for my Mother, and we saw this truck loading up with balloons:

Inside the store is chaos, as all the employees have the nitrous oxide tanks going, filling up balloons, which the guys then tie into groups of ten.

“Three hundred and fifty balloons!” they responded, when we asked how many they were doing. “It must be some great party!”

I guess so. You wouldn’t think you could get any more balloons into a the truck, but here come some more!

  3. i got it ,

these black balloons are for Michelle Obama’s birthday .

i hope they cheer that grim lady up and she will smile more.

lighten up Michelle ,you gonna cost your husband the
    election.
if that happens then you may risk him having an affair with another woman like all the big name democrats .Hey thats a good reason to vote for Obama ,new campain slogan
” Vote for My Husband or he will cheat on me ”

i wouldnt worry about MacCain playing around if he loses because he is passed his climax sort to speak as a matter of fact he is passed his bed time .

  6. why would the balloons be filled with nitrous oxide ? if im not mistaken nitrous oxide is not lighter than air so the baloons will not float.. i think they are full of helium the way they are floating πŸ™‚

  7. Wait! Wait! I can see where the confusion came from! No, my Mother is not the Birthday Girl this time – she had her birthday while we were at the Oregon beach. I don’t know whose birthday this was, but it was someone’s 40th. My guess is that some wife was planning a big blow out surprise party for her husband. I just loved watching them all being crammed into the truck!

    Thank you, Chika!

Daggero, what are you smoking??? But interesting point, have you ever thought about what it must be like to be married to a man 1) running for office 2) in office?

I met a queen once. Her life looked good on the outside, but her husband could not be faithful. She did a great job, and buried the heartache inside.

Having a husband who lusts after powerful positions can also be a very lonely life, I imagine.

See, you were being funny, but you are a very good writer, you hit serious points with a light touch. Honestly, daggero, you should be blogging again.

    Ansam – isn’t this a smile-making opportunity? πŸ™‚

Skunk, read Abdulaziz’ comment below – he is right. I got confused. It is helium, not nitrous oxide. I had a brain freeze moment.

Thanks, Abdulaziz, as soon as I read it I knew you were right. It’s helium, and it makes voices funny.

  9. He he he Skunk, Abdulaziz says it is heavy, so those would be pretty disappointing balloons – lead baloons!

i really didn’t think about marrying a man 1)running for an office or 2)in office maybe because i am a man my self , but it must be a 21 century thingy to think like that πŸ™‚

can you send me the cell phone number of this poor sad ,heart broken, miserable queen , maybe we can get together me and her and repay him in kind this philandering king ,and justice will be served ,
seriously you must have been close to her to know all these details !!!!

  11. daggero – No, sadly, everyone knew. As my husband said “It’s great to be king; you can do whatever you want.” Not so great to be married to a king who does whatever he wants.

There are a lot of kings running around – people who feel entitled to do what they want, that the rules don’t apply to them. They break a lot of hearts.
