Young adults ‘anxiety overload’
No, it’s not just your imagination. And you are not alone – others in your age group are likely suffering the same anxieties you are, and covering it up.

Young adults are suffering from “anxiety overload”, a UK charity warns.
A survey of 18-24 year olds found 66% feel stressed or anxious at least once a week, with money and job worries being the main cause.
Almost a third of respondents said they did not tell anyone of their worries, raising the need to teach young people “coping strategies”, said Rethink.
Women seemed most badly affected, with one in three suffering frequent anxiety, compared with one in 10 men.
The YouGov poll of 2,000 adults, 250 of whom were aged 18-24, found 33% of young women felt stressed or anxious most days or every day.

Will, I will keep you in my prayers. I thought you were in GWU in DOHA! Now I see you are at the DC campus. I can imagine the stress is almost overwhelming.
Every time I move I feel so overwhelmed. I remember an old joke: How do you eat an elephant? Answer: One bite at a time.
Stay off the drugs. Just take one step at a time. You got in, you’re going to do fine.
You can say THAT again!
Oh no! Et tu, Kinano, the man of books and letters?
Oui, moi aussie!
School has become very stressful. No amount of books or letters can help mitigate that 😉
How close are you to finishing? I can only imagine that for you, school is easy, but figuring out what comes next might be stressful.
I’ve got until June next year before I can graduate. Thing is, I kind of have an idea of what I want to do next. It’s just that I can’t wait until I can get started 😉
Oh! I am so happy for you, Kinan, happy that you know what you want to do next! And you are right, waiting can be really really hard. Does the weather there affect your mood?
Weather does take its toll on me especially now that the days are getting shorter. Last winter days were only 3 hours long with around 20 hours of absolute darkness, so it can get pretty depressing actually!
I believe it. I think the highest rates of suicide in the world are during the winter months in the northernmost countries. Fight back – take a trip to the Gulf! Get some winter sunshine!
its 5 am .. haven’t slept for more than 2 hours since .. ?? sunday night .. and btw .. weed NEVER interested me.. i had the chance to try it more than once especially being in a swiss bording school since i was 15..! but i am tempted to try adderall ! its like banak here 😛 ..
