To Kuwait: Happy Liberation and Independence Days Celebrations

Wishing all my Kuwait friends all the blessings of liberty, and independence.

I always remember February in Kuwait as being one of the nicest months of the year – so how is it this year? My friends in Doha tell me they are having a heat wave!

  1. well…there is no sense of unity or nationalism anymore here since the late 1990s. February, especially 25/26 is just a ‘legitimate’ reason for the huge numbers of animals here to go berserk. People have been killed, maimed, raped and even traumatized in such ‘celebrations’.

Thank you for the sincere wishes, i know u wanted something positive, but i must speak the truth which is more often than not negative.

  4. Mrm, there are people your age in Kuwait, educated and hard working young people, and they will change the face of Kuwait. Times are always tough in a transition, and the invasion of Kuwait, even 20 years ago, is still resonating through the society, encouraging instability and insecurity. There are people like you, Mrm, fine people, who have a vision of Kuwait that includes both modern economy and honoring traditions. You’ll find them out volunteering. 🙂

Cool is good, and who would even believe “dust and cool” is possible, LOL, in a hot hot hot country like Kuwait, until you have lived in Kuwait. I tell people the coldest I have ever been in my entire life was when we were camping in the desert, in Tunisia. When the desert cools off, it is COLD!

Pleasant and happy – lovely, Lady J. 🙂
