“Have You Seen the Photo of Qatar’s New Stadium?”

. . . our son asked us after work today.

We both looked blank. No, no we haven’t.

He brought up the photo on the iPad. Oh. NO. Noooooooooo!

LOL, who sold this idea to the Qataris?

People are already calling it the Vagina Stadium. Oh NOOOO!

Al-Wakrah stadium

I know just the Qatar skyscraper to partner with this new stadium; I shuddered as it was rising on the Corniche:

Hilarious!

  1. Architects in the Middle East certainly seem to have retained their sense of humour!
In Kuwait City you now see renders appearing of the new state of the art Kuwait International Airport which is akin to the uterine corpus with cervical os and all. While NBK are to have a new HQ downtown with an uncanny resemblance to a penile shaft much like the Phillipe Starcke inspired penile thingy atop the Asahi Breweries HQ in Asakusa, Tokyo. You’ve got to see that Seattle mama- I rate it as among the wonders of the world. Besides, there is a lovely beer hall inside for Adventure man and you to chillax.
Again, the Kuwaiti skyline today is punctuated by all manner of erotica, from a convoluted Tijaria tower vaguely hinting at a frozen erection or fracture penis (you decide) to a heavily pregnant a la Palestinian multi para; the KIPCO tower.

If the Qataris ever needed an episiotomy for their Vagina Stadium, please pass them my number!

  3. Stop! Stop! Stop, BL, you’re killing me! I guess it’s all in the minds of the beholder, LOL. AdventureMan and I have often pondered how mosques look all breasts and penises, and how sometimes our art shows forth an overflow of whatever is occupying the mind and heart . . . But this stadium – holy smokes, how could they not see it? And they blame it on ‘detractors’ who are jealous. Ah well, I guess it is art.
