Soft Kuwaiti Nights

Although it is too hot to eat lunch outside these days (my opinion; I don’t like sweat), it is still lovely outside at night.

The Al Kout Mall in Fehaheel is delightful, with it’s fountain and music and co-ordinated lights, water and music shows:

You can also see the new Rotana Hotel, now open, across the street in the Al Manshar Mall.

  3. You are right, Elijah, but three or four nights ago it was PERFECT. I promise!

Glad you like the photos, rieaane. Do you take photos, too?

  4. What beautiful photos, Intlxpatr! The other side of the fence in the Pac NW – spring has not been so lovely. I am yearning for soft tropical warmth and fantasize about heat that makes one sweat (but perhaps not faint). Actually, it would be thrilling just to be able to go outside without a jacket.

  5. Hmmm . . . Sparkle . . . come see for yourself! Our temps this week are all between 100F and 110. No coat needed, I promise!

  6. The Manshar Rotana by the night looks stunning….it’s as though you and the Filipina minus the rubbernecking crowds are transported to Paris or somewhere, for that micro minisecond of your undivided Mansharkesque attention. And there’s something else about Manshar Mall – I love it to bits, for all the peace and quiet I get when strolling through it.

  7. Jidda Jerry/Taif Terry – I don’t find it as quiet these days – it’s totally been discovered. But, unlike some of the other malls, the teens so far are well behaved, and the young children are with their parents for the most part – and kept lovingly under control. So it’s still a nice stroll.
